Powys County Council has granted us planning permission to build the dome for the 24″ Schmidt Camera.
The dome has been designed by Carl Hart of David R. Davies (Consulting & Architectural Engineers) Ltd, and he has also provided all of the documentation to make the application process as painless as it was.
Although we are far from having the funding to complete the project the plan now is to begin the groundwork, and build the new access ramps that are required but the unbelievable planning requirements! At times it has seemed that common sense has been completely removed from current legislation, but one can only grin and bear it!
